Is as Gaillimh do Patricia Forde. Scríobhann sí do pháistí do gach aois, as Gaeilge agus as Béarla. D’fhoilsigh sí a céad leabhar do pháistí in 1990. Fuair The Wordsmith, an chéad úrscéal aici do léitheoirí níos sine, ardmholadh ó na léirmheastóirí nuair a tháinig sé amach in 2014. Roghnaíodh Bumpfizzle the Best on Planet Earth mar UNESCO Citywide Read Bhaile Átha Cliath in 2019, agus bhí lear mór ceardlann agus cainteanna do dhaoine óga fud fad na cathrach mar chuid den togra. Coimisiúnadh pictiúrleabhar as Gaeilge agus as Béarla faoi Hy Brasil (An tOileán Thiar/To the Island) mar cheiliúradh ar Ghaillimh mar Chathair Chultúir 2020.
Sí Patricia a chomhbhunaigh Féile Ealaíon Idirnáisiúnta Baboró do Pháistí i nGaillimh i lár na nóchaidí; féile den chéad scoth, bunaithe ar cheart an pháiste teacht a bheith acu ar an gcultúr, a reáchtáiltear go bliantúil – agus go ráthúil – fós. Sa bhreis air seo, scríobhann Patricia don teilifís, agus cuireann ceardlanna scríbhneoireachta scripte ar fáil do pháistí níos sine.
Ba í Patricia Forde an seachtú Laureate na nÓg (2023-2026).
