Pictiúr was the largest single exhibition of contemporary Irish children’s book illustration ever assembled. It was curated by Niamh Sharkey Laureate na nÓg (2012-2014), and featured 42 pieces by 21 illustrators. The exhibition travelled around Ireland following its highly successful tour of Europe as part of the Culture Connects International Culture Programme to celebrate Ireland’s Presidency of the European Council. It also visited the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy, the European Parliament in Brussels and the Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe.
