The Ultimate Embrace that says “Welcome Home” – Sarah Crossan

On 17 May 2018, Sarah Crossan was named by President Michael D. Higgins as Ireland’s fifth Laureate na nÓg at the Arts Council in Dublin.
Sarah is a poet and novelist, who writes for teenagers and young adults.

It was a fantastic day. We caught up with old friends and made some new ones too. Thank you to the JCSP Library Project and to the pupils of Trinity Comprehensive in Ballymun for welcoming Sarah, and also to Sarah’s family and friends who traveled from near and far to make the occasion so special.

You can watch highlights from the event below.  Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for updates on Sarah’s laureateship and her #WeAreThePoets project.
